CARRERA MOURNS THE LOSS OF ANDREA TURNER

By Staff

One of the founding ladies of Carrera soccer, Andrea Turner, has passed away after a long battle with cancer.  Andrea was one of the "Originals"....a leader on the very first Carrera team in 1994.  Andrea was a quiet, but strong leader on a team filled with strong personalities.   Andrea was such an integral part of that team and an inspiration to everyone she knew.   She didn't just help lay a foundation for this girl's soccer club, she also showed how she could build on her success on the college level and in life.  Andrea helped lead the William Jewell College Cardinals to the 2003 NAIA Final Four.  She was also honored as a NAIA Daktonic Scholar Athlete in 2002.    Please keep Andrea's family: parents Ed and Diana Turner, and siblings Ashley and Alex,  in your thoughts and prayers.
